During the 2020 Presidential Election, it became clear that America is a nation divided.
Unfortunately, we are divided about much more than just politics.
We are divided about health and wellness, too.
But, this is not new.
We have been divided about health and wellness for 100 years (and longer)!
Early in the 1900’s the herbalist, eclectic, naturopathic, and other natural health practitioner schools were literally destroyed by the American Medical Association, funded by the Rockefeller foundation that pumped millions of dollars into the John’s Hopkins Medical School model. Any type of medical practice that fell outside of that one model was deemed quackery and soon shuttered.[1]
This isn’t the first time. Natural remedies and holistic medicine have been burned before at an earlier time in history as well (Burn the Witch).
The modern medical protocol (allopathic medicine) that we know today was the monopoly that had taken complete control of the business of sickness. It was touted as the only way to treat illness. But, that one way, is not the only way. It’s just the way that provided the most monetary gain for its benefactors.
Over the past 100 years, there have been great advances and technologies in traumatic and acute care that have come out of that monopolized medical system, but when it comes to prevention and healing disease, they have lost their way.
Thankfully, over the past few decades there has been a resurgence in people returning to natural, time-tested, and more affordable healing modalities.
Millions of people around the world are using Complementary and Alternative Medicine practices (“quackery”) to help heal ailments and reclaim their vitality and health. These practices include herbal medicine, food as medicine, yoga and Ayurveda, meditation, massage, naturopathy, TCM, energy healing, biofeedback, chiropractic, Shamanism, supplementation, and many others.[2] [3]
In fact, there is so much interest in these alternative practices that the World Health Organization (WHO) admittedly, has “underestimated” the value of these healing modalities and how important they are to meet the needs of humans.
“Traditional and complementary medicine (T&CM) is an important and often underestimated health resource with many applications, especially in the prevention and management of lifestyle-related chronic diseases, and in meeting the health needs of aging populations. Many countries are seeking to expand coverage of essential health services at a time when consumer expectations for care are rising, costs are soaring, and most budgets are either stagnant or being reduced. Given the unique health challenges of the 21st century, interest in T&CM is undergoing a revival.”[4]
I personally experienced the efficacy of CAM and T&CM medicine myself when I was diagnosed with Thyroid disease.
When my disease reared its ugly head over 25 years ago, allopathic medicine didn’t offer a solution to healing my condition. Instead, they offered destruction of my body (radioactive iodine) and then a lifetime of costly prescription medication, which didn’t make sense to me, and I questioned it.
Had I not questioned it, and simply followed their advice blindly, I would not have my thyroid or vibrant health today.
I opted out of that monopolized system over two decades ago. And, as a result, I have saved my health, as well as a lot of money on healthcare in the process.
I want to be clear that I have not abandoned the allopathic system entirely – there is great value in it. I know to use it when it is necessary.
And, that brings me to our current pandemic.
We are clearly a nation divided, or more appropriately, a world divided about health and wellness as it relates to the C*ronavirus.
One side of the divide recommends wearing a mask, staying inside, isolating, socially distancing yourself from others, and taking the va*cine when it becomes available. The va*cine, they say, will save humanity and get us back to work, and the economy up and running again.
The other side recommends eating well, exercising, getting sunshine and fresh air, connecting with friends and family, supporting your microbiome, boosting natural immunity, and not taking the va*cine when it becomes available.
The mainstream media and governments around the world are recommending the first side of the divide, including va*cinating the entire population.
Va*cine companies have applied for “emergency approval” to get these vaccines into humans as quickly as possible.[5] [6]
We need to question why.
Why are they rushing to va*cinate the masses for a disease that has a 97 to 99.75% recovery/survival rate?[7]
According to WebMD, “Scientists and researchers are constantly tracking infections and recoveries…However, early estimates predict that the overall COVID-19 recovery rate is between 97% and 99.75%.”
Not only that, the most recent scientific studies show that there is long-term immunity for those that have already been infected with Co*vid-19.[8]
“Immunity to the novel coronavirus may last eight months or longer, according to a new study authored by respected scientists at leading labs, which found that individuals who recovered from the coronavirus developed robust levels of B cells and T cells (necessary for fighting off the virus) and these cells may persist in the body for a very, very long time.”[9]
How long is a “very, very long time”?
According to the studies, it could be many years.
“’That amount of immune memory would likely prevent the vast majority of people from getting hospitalized disease, severe disease, for many years,’ said Shane Crotty, a virologist at the La Jolla Institute of Immunology who co-led the new study.”[10]
If you have already tested positive, like 71 million others (and counting) [11], the latest research is proving that you have the B cells and T cells to fight off the virus for a long time to come.
The question remains, why are they rushing to va*cinate the entire human population with the scientifically-backed recovery rates and immunity knowledge that is coming to the forefront right now?
It doesn’t make sense.
Here’s something else that doesn’t make sense.
I received an email from the NYC school that my nephew attends. It said, “The news from Pfizer and Moderna regarding vaccines is very encouraging and it looks as if some vaccines will be available in a matter of weeks. It remains, however, unclear when vaccines will be available to students and the population at large. When vaccines are available, XXXXX will add the COVID-19 vaccine to the list of required vaccines for attendance at XXXXX. All students, except those with a medical waiver, will be required to get the COVID-19 vaccine once it is available in order to attend school.”
I find this particularly disturbing because according to scientific studies, kids are the least likely to catch and transmit this virus to others.[12]
I’m not a psychic, but I’m going to predict that it’s just a matter of time before this vaccine becomes mandatory for ALL people to be able to go to work, travel, shop, and live in the world.
And, when that time comes, we will again be divided.
Except for this one thing… similar to the destruction of alternative medicine in the early 1900s that formed the lucrative monopoly we know today (including Big Pharma), someone somewhere will benefit BIG monetary gains from all of this non-sense that is dividing us.
As of right now, Pfizer and Moderna are projected to earn over 32 billion dollars in Covid vaccine revenue in 2021.[13]
