Surf and Turf Pasta

I’m sure you’ve heard of the term Surf and Turf, right? It was hot in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

And, I’m bringing it back… in a delicious pasta!

Surf and turf is a classic combination of animal proteins from both the sea and from the land.

The “surf” component consists of something like lobster, prawns, shrimp, squid or scallops.

And, the “turf” component is usually a red meat from animals that graze on grass – like cows.

In this recipe, I used shrimp (surf) and beef bacon (turf).

Beef bacon can be a little hard to find, but a company named Porter Road makes it. If you can’t find beef bacon, you can substitute regular bacon.

This dish takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and it’s totally delish!
