Stony Brook Southampton presents an engaging, hands-on workshop with Andrea Beaman, that offers participants an introduction to basic cooking and nutrition skills to help prevent the three major causes of death and disease in America: heart disease, cancer and stroke.

Students will come away with many easy-to-implement food principles, new recipes and cooking skills, as well as an opportunity to ask specific questions for nutritional needs and prevent or address current illness. Ideal for healthcare professionals, parents of young children and those trying to improve their overall health and eating habits.
