Looking for a fun treat that also really good for your health?
Try these Immune Supportive Longevity Bites.
They contain:
Goji Berries (Lycium barbarum): These anti-inflammatory antioxidant-rich fruits have an extensive history in Chinese medicine for brightening the spirit, promoting long life and boosting sexual vitality.[1] They are hydrating and moistening to the joints and support eye health, too. Goji berries are rich in vitamin A and C that are linked with enhancing immune function and preventing chronic illness.[2] Goji berry has also been associated with improved liver health, cardiovascular protection, and protection of brain cells.[3]
Reishi Mushroom Mycelium Powder (Ganoderma lucidum): The Reishi mushroom has long been revered as the Mushroom of Immortality, and currently is making a huge resurgence in our popular culture and in modern medicine as well. According to ancient healing food lore in both China and Japan, Reishi was used to boost immunity, calm the spirit and promote longevity. Modern medical science has discovered that the acetic acid and polysaccharides in Reishi are what increases lifespan.[4] Reishi is an adaptogenic tonic that improves overall health and well-being. The Therapeutic Herb Manual says Reishi is anti-inflammatory, improves adrenal gland function, anti-tumor, detoxifies the liver, and facilitates oxygenation of blood.[5]
I’ve put these two revered ingredients into this delicious treat.
