This rich and creamy hot cocoa contains Reishi and Turkey Tail mushroom powders to help boost your immunity in the most delicious way.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like mushrooms!
The taste of Reishi is quite bitter, more like cacao, so you won’t even know it’s there.
Reishi is an immunomodulator. That means it stimulates innate immunity while also modulating the acquired immune system, resulting in fewer infections and fewer allergies and inflammation.[2]
This highly valued mushroom is also a classic herb that helps you sleep more restfully at night. And, a good night’s sleep totally supports immune health.
Turkey tail is also very bitter. My husband said it tastes like, “100% dark chocolate.”
So, it’s perfect for this recipe.
“Turkey Tail is a potent mushroom prized for its beta-glucan polysaccharides. Polysaccharides are essential sugars that aid in activating immunity in the body. Clinical trials suggest that bacterial infections can be reduced using polysaccharides. The polysaccharides have strong communication with all T cells that are part of the white blood cells fighting off infection.”[3]
As we head into flu, cold, and coronavirus season, sip on this Immune Boosting Hot Cocoa. Enjoy!
