Herbed Crunchy Croutons

Croutons are a delightful addition to any soup or salad. They add texture and a fun little bit of crunch.

And, the best part is, they’re really easy to make.

For those of you that don’t indulge in gluten, no worries! You can even make them gluten-free.

And, once you prepare your delicious crunchy croutons, you can put them on top of this Savory Squash Soup


Herbed Crunchy Croutons

Serves: 4 servings
  • 4 slices of your favorite whole grain bread (or gluten-free bread)
  • Organic Olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Dried thyme, oregano, parsley
  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Cut bread into 1-2 inch cubes.
  3. Put cubed bread pieces into a large mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil, but do not saturate it.
  4. Season generously with sea salt, dried thyme, dried oregano, and dried parsley.
  5. Toss to make sure all pieces are coated.
  6. Place bread into a baking pan and bake 10-15 minutes (or longer).
  7. Check the timing for desired crispness. The longer the bread cooks, the crunchier it gets.
