Total time:
Serves: 2-4 servings
- Salt the tuna on each side, and set aside for about 10 minutes.
- Combine the black and tan sesame seeds on a plate.
- Press the tuna onto the sesame seeds so you get a coating of seeds on all sides of the fish.
- Heat a non-stick pan on high heat and add the oil.
- Sear the tuna for 1 minute on each side.
- Combine the sesame oil, shoyu, lime juice, hot honey, ginger and shallot.
- Remove tuna from the pan and set aside.
- Put greens into two separate plates.
- Dress the greens with your fave dressing (I like to keep it simple, olive oil, lime/lemon juice and salt).
- You can either leave the tuna whole, or slice it into thin pieces and lay on top of the salad.
- Top tuna with the sesame oil, hot honey, ginger/shallot dressing.
