Garlicky Green Beans

  • 1 pound green beans (string beans), trimmed
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Sea salt flakes
  1. Wash and trim the ends of the string beans.
  2. Fill a pot with water plus 1 tbsp. sea salt (not flakes) and bring to a boil.
  3. Submerge beans in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes (depending on how tender you like them).
  4. With a slotted spoon, pull the string beans out of the water and set aside.
  5. Heat olive oil and garlic in a frying pan on medium heat.
  6. Drop green beans into the pan and toss with the garlic and oil.
  7. You may have to do this in a couple of batches.
  8. Plate the string beans and finish with sea salt flakes.
