A vessel that was sturdy enough to weather rough seas at times.
A vessel that harbored the creative capacity to build a human being from scratch… without even thinking about it.
A vessel that had the efficiency to sustain herself, as well as her stowaway, for nine months.
A vessel that bore the sweat, pain and tears of delivering the cargo, and then cried and said she would do it all over again, if she had to.
Thankfully, she doesn’t have to!
We made it here because we took a ride on the Mothership and safely arrived on the shores of life.
And, as that Mothership ages, her sails may not be as lustrous as they once were, and her bow may leak a little bit.
Now, more than ever, she needs to know she is as valued today as she was at the beginning of your voyage.
Wherever your mothership is, sail out to meet her and thank her for bringing you here.
If she has already sailed out of this ocean and into the next, you can still meet her in your thoughts and in your heart, and honor her there.
You are now traveling the world on your own, but you are always connected to the mothership, in this world and beyond.
Wishing you and your Mothership a Happy Mother’s Day!
