Basic Brown Rice

  • 2 cups short grain brown rice (rinsed and soaked overnight)
  • 3 3/4 cups water
  • 2 pinches sea salt

Bring rice and water to a boil.  Add two pinches of sea salt.  Cover and lower flame to simmer for 40-45 minutes.  Makes 6-8 servings.

    Do you throw out the soak water? Or use it?

    Can I eat rice if I have Hashimotos? I’ve also read that I can’t use any spices such as red chillies or coriander? Is that true? This is the auto-immune Paleo approach and it’s very restrictive.
