What are you feeding your mind? Did you know that your thoughts and attitudes in life have a direct relationship with your health. Scientist have proof that there is a direct mind-body connection. Our mind and body are one.
So a constant diet of watching/reading the news, which is 95% NEGATIVE probably makes you feel “down”, depressed, fearful, etc. These feelings over a long period of time can manifest into some sort of illness.
Having a positive mind-set can help improve health, prevent illness and may even cure early stages of illness.
I am not saying you should deny your negative emotions, because that is not healthy either and may even be inappropriate.
Bad Stuff happens. So be sad, angry, yell and scream! Get it OUT, then move on with it.
Not so sure about breaking stuff though – that cost money. But you get the point.
We put our dog to sleep last summer – I was NOT happy and I cried a lot. I allowed myself to process those emotions but I didn’t stay there for long.
What I am saying – don’t stay in the Rabbit Hole of Negativity and find a way out a little more quickly. Maybe work on improving your thoughts toward a more positive spin.
Need help with what you are feeding your mind? Here a few Positive Thoughts Newsletters I like:
- Positive Thoughts http://positive-thoughts.typepad.com/
- Dr. Wayne Dyer http://www.drwaynedyer.com/affirmations/
- Louise Hay http://www.louisehay.com/affirmations/
Or buy a box of Power Thoughts Cards and every day randomly select aa card and keep it with you. I bought these and share them with my co-workers. Oh and every day we read an entry from the little book “Thank You Notes”, by Jimmy Fallon and the writers of the Late Night Show. It’s a funny way to start our day off laughing at work! If you watch Jimmy Fallon late at night, you know what I’m talking about!
What you feed your mind is as important as the food you give to your body!
What will you feed your mind starting today?
“Watch your thoughts, they become words;
watch your words, they become actions;
watch your actions, they become habits;
watch your habits, they become character;
watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.” – FRANK OUTLAW –
