The experiences we live are based on not just the way we think but also the way we thank. Do you practice the attitude of gratitude every day? What are the top 5 things you think about during the day? Are you thankful for what you have? Or do you even have time to just stop, think and be thankful?
“The single greatest thing you can do to change your life today is to start being grateful for what you have right now.” Quoted by Oprah Winfrey, who suggests that you should write down 5 things everyday that you are grateful for and this way you’ll only focus on the good in your life.
No matter what stage of life you currently are in, you can practice attitude of gratitude all the time. We all have something to be thankful for. By concentrating on what’s good and giving it your energy, you attract abundance. But if you focus on what’s lacking, you will never have enough.
If you practice the attitude of gratitude every day and thank for even little accomplishments, the Universe will bring you more of these moments and you open the door to the abundance. I have mentioned already that your life is the mirror of your thoughts. That’s why it is so important to have pleasant thoughts during the day. One of these thoughts should be a thought of gratitude.
Do you even think about something you are grateful for during your day? Or are you in the stressful thoughtless mode concerned about paying bills, dealing with the boss or co-workers and negative attitudes of people around you?
The other day I was taking a bike ride with my daughters and when they fell asleep, I stopped to rest and have a quiet moment, (it doesn’t happen very often). I was looking at a clear sky, the autumn sun was shining and breeze was caressing my skin. I stopped to think how beautiful my life is and how grateful I am not only for my family, health and well-being, but also for sunshine, quiet and being surrounded by nature… It is vital for me to have these moments. It also gives me perspective. Take the time to stop and smell the roses. I keep it a priority.
I can not stress enough that by heeding a simple saying and the attitude of gratitude can give you great results. Stop, look and listen. What makes you smile or feel good, what smells nice and what looks nice. Close your eyes and let your senses brighten your day. Be thankful even for those tiny invisible things you normally walk by and don’t pay attention to. Practice imagination and daydreaming whenever you have free time. Try to picture things you need and want to accomplish.
The more you practice, the more you will find yourself achieving those things. You are changing the way you think. Positive thoughts will bring you positive experiences into your life. Changing thoughts means changing the circumstances. Think good and be thankful. Don’t let your thought control you, you are in control of your own thoughts. Whatever you focus on, grows. Either positive or negative.
No matter what I endured in my life, whether it was a jealous boyfriend, a boring job, unloving life or having no goal for the future, I always tried to retrieve one positive moment, gather myself and continue the day. For example when I had a chance to take a break at work, I would close the office, go upstairs, open the window and breathe. Getting some fresh air and thinking about something beautiful was so recharging for myself.
I was 20, trying to figure out what to do with my life, lived in a grey misty country of long winters and low income and after several years of hard mental work I found myself happy and nestling my toes in warm Florida sand, beautiful sunsets and loving family.

Your Home (can you imagine to live outside the walls that make your home?)
“Gratitude opens the door to abundance conciousness because it gets you to the source, which is the source of all things.” Deepak Chopra
“Every time you appreciate something, every time you praise something, every time you feel good about something, you are telling the Universe: ‘More of this, please.’” Abraham
