Eat Your Water. …….
Yep – you know you need to drink more water, but I’m telling you to eat it too. When you eat high-water content foods, such as fresh raw vegetables, salads, leafy greens, low sugar fruits such as lemons or grapefruits, raw nuts and seeds, you are helping your body stay hydrated and in a balanced state of ph.
When you are in a balanced state of ph, meaning that you are slightly alkaline, your body, mind and soul are thriving with their proper nourishment and releasing waste with ease. That’s what we all want – right? To release waste with ease. Ha!
If, on the other hand, you eat too many acidic foods, such as refined foods, meat, dairy, sugar, caffeine and white bread, your body starts sending out distress signals, like a runny nose, a stomach ache, eczema, and constipation. Or, it could turn into longer term hazards such as arthritis, a weakened immune system and even cancer.
By eating high water content foods your overall health will soar – your bloating will subside, your sinuses will clear, your eyes will sparkle, and your elimination will be stellar!
So, you may be wondering – do I have to ONLY eat raw veggies? Nope – just add in more to your daily diet and you will notice huge benefits.
Here’s some easy ways to add them in:
1. Have carrots and hummus for snack.
2. Have celery with peanut butter for snack.
3. Have a big salad at lunch or dinner.
4. Make a fruit smoothie and add in some greens.
5. Try green juice at a local juice bar – I take my clients to try this and they all claim that it’s REALLY good – better than they expected!
6. Throw in raw almonds or walnuts into your morning oatmeal or on your salad.
7. Sprinkle raw sunflower seeds on your cooked veggies at night for a nice crunch.
Bottom line is: By taking in an adding in approach to raw veggies, your body is not only getting more hydration but getting vital life force energy and keeping that tummy happy!
